We’re in the money now. After two full days of motoring and living in a cabin made hot under a tropical sun and a 200 degree engine, we are sailing. As I type, winds are 18 on the beam and we are bee-lining for Funchal.
Not a bird this last day of motoring through the high. Now that we are in the wind again, we’ve still no birds but started to see flying fish (two so far) and Sargasso weed. The former are welcome, the latter not so much.

Before we depart the Azores completely, I wanted to share a video of the islands produced by our tour guide, Fred and for his company, Endemic Azores. After a day driving us around the island, Fred came down to the docks with his dog, Guanche, for an inspection of Moli. I fell in love with Guanche right away, and so found the following video beautiful for its images of Faial and of a dog in his prime having a blast! Enjoy.
